Constituent Advocate – Congresswoman Julie Johnson (TX-32)
The Office of Congresswoman Julie Johnson (TX-32) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join her team as a Constituent Advocate. This position serves as a liaison to federal, state, and local government entities on behalf of the Congresswoman’s constituents in a diverse district. The Constituent Advocate will handle a portfolio of issue areas and work directly with and report to the Constituent Services Director on important local issues, emerging trends, and critical developments. This is a full-time position based in the District Office located in Richardson, TX.
Job Description:
- Serves as a liaison with the federal government to address individual constituent concerns
- Prepares incoming and outgoing constituent casework to manage casework in assigned areas of expertise
- Maintains accurate and complete files on all assigned casework to keep track of all casework progress
- Writes responses to constituent letters relating to casework to answer questions or inform them of case progress
- Organizes workload to prioritize tasks in accordance with varying deadlines and ensure work is completed in an efficient and effective manner
- Assists the Director of Outreach as needed with outreach activities, attending community meetings, and supporting public events
