DALLAS, TX — Today, Congresswoman Julie Johnson (TX-32) announced that the University of Texas at Dallas will receive $821,998 in federal funding to support research focused on improving how medicine is delivered to treat neurological and mental health disorders. This funding comes from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Julie Johnson (TX-32), a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, joined Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) in helping introduce the bipartisan American Dream and Promise Act of 2025. The legislation provides a pathway to citizenship to Dreamers, who are undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children. It will also include recipients of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) beneficiaries.
